My name is Mark Barykin and together with my business partner and long-time friend, Stewart DeBarros, we founded Dream Key Mortgage: a family-oriented Mortgage Brokerage offering a wide range of customized mortgage solutions to clients of every background.
A personal life goal for me has always been to make the world around me a better and happier place; and so, when I got into the Mortgage Industry many years ago, I found a great deal of pleasure in helping others improve their financial situation.
After my tenure working for some of Canada’s largest financial institutions, I learned the importance of exceptional customer service and fell in love with helping others exceed their financial goals. Ensuring I always stayed knowledgeable on the ever-changing mortgage rules, I adopted a “let’s get it done” attitude which allows me to persevere and fight for my client’s best interest. I went from giving advice and finding short-term solutions for my clients, to advising others on debt consolidation and the benefits of amalgamating their debt under a single lending facility.
Ultimately, nothing brings me more joy than helping young professionals and new families go from renting to owning their first home.
Always an Entrepreneur at heart, I wanted to expand on this client-focused approach to lending, while offering clients more options and so, I decided to leave the big-brand, financial institutions to create a service that delivers the same high-end quality, but on a smaller scale to enhance the user experience and ensure everyone knows they are important.
Originally from Russia, after moving to Toronto at the early age of 13, I very quickly adapted to my new environment, falling in love with Toronto’s opportunity, culture, and its varied history. It is my diverse background that allows me to connect with the GTA’s increasing immigrant population, as well as long-time residents to help them achieve their financial goals.
When I’m not working, you can find me soaking up Toronto’s cultural festivals, skiing during the winter months, and always making time to visit my family.
